Visit Nepal Year 2020 Officially Inaugurated
Kathmandu – The Visit Nepal Year 2020 has been officially inaugurated by conducting a special ceremony at Dasarath Stadium this evening.
The Government is being observed 2020 AD as a national campaign with the aim to bring in 2 million international tourists, and the government set determination to establish the tourism sector as the major foundation of Nepal’s economic prosperity.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated the VNY 2020 on the first day of January at the Stadium. With speaking on formal program Prez Bhandari said Nepal ready to welcome international tourism with giving a lifetime experience.
The VNY 2020 is only an entry point and that the government was preparing to observe the coming decade as the tourism decade for 2020-2030 said Culture, Tourism, and civil aviation minister Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai in his welcome speech.
Also speaking on the Program, VNY 2020 Secretariat Conveyor Suraj Vaidya said the inaugural ceremony was focused on highlighting Nepal’s culture, heritage, costume, and lifestyle while promoting tourism in the country.
On this occasion, the Chief Justice, the National Assembly Chairman, former Prime Ministers, political party leaders, dignitaries from various countries including tourism ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, heads of the diplomatic mission, members of parliament and ministers were an eyewitness.
On this special faction, March past has performed by associations related to the tourism sector, social organizations, and the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force made a special presentation.
The VNY 2020 have been also officially installed in all the seven State today including in Biratnagar of State no. 1, Janakpur in State no. 2, Suraha, Chief in State no. 3, Pokhara in Gandaki State, Thakurdwar, Bardia in State no. 5, Bulbul lake in Karnali and Dhangadi in Sudur Paschim State.
