Nothing excited to me and my friends more than thinking about going on a tour, for the first time we all together! “Can we do it?” questioned my friends, surprised and curious. As it was the first time, I was little bit worried as well. However, I didn’t want to bind myself in the comfort envelop.

The scenic beauties viewed through the window all around made me feel better. It was around 2 A.M. we have reached the city of Lakes .i.e. Pokhara. The excitement and the scenic beauty of the Pokhara made us relieved and fresh barring the feeling of tiredness and anxiety. After arriving Pokhara we firstly had our lunch, this moment was one of my best moment in the tour; all members of the SAB family dining together and having fun.

After our lunch, we moved towards our first site, the International Mountain Museum in Pokhara. The Museum showcased the cultures of people living in the mountain region of Nepal as well as the artifacts relating to various social, cultural and regional spheres. We also clicked pictures for memory, was one of the wonderful moments we cherished together.

We were equally excited to reach our next site. The bus is being led towards Devi’s Falls; one of the most impressive tourist destinations in Pokhara. Indeed, we were so desperately waiting for the moment that, as we reached Devi’s Falls, we were not able to control ourselves from speeding up to view its marvelous beauty. No need to mention that we clicked as many pictures as we liked and spent cheerful time with us.

Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchchre)

Moving ahead, we went for the night sightseeing of the great Phewa Lake and lake side area. It was an awesome experience to walk around the bank of the lake and to view the night scene. After the sightseeing, we moved back to our hotel for campfire. We enjoyed the campfire singing songs, dancing and having lots of fun. The first day of our tour was almost over and we were so excited that our feet were not on the ground for our next destination, Ghandruk.

No doubt, the first day was remarkably wonderful; but the most exciting part of the tour waited us ahead at Ghandruk. After a drive of more than 4 hours from Pokhara, then we were ready for trekking. We were already lured by the beauty of Mt. Machapuchre and the mighty Annapurna. One and a half hour of long trekking made us tired, but at the end, our hardship paid off. We were then able to see Mt. Machapuchhre and Annapurna right in front of our eyes. That particular moment made me feel as if I was in the heaven, surrounded by beautiful sceneries. We started to click pictures as soon as we reached our hotel and were so excited that we didn’t even want to leave the compound of the hotel for our lunch.

Hills of Ghandruk : Land of Gurung

Having taken our lunch, we moved for sightseeing. There, we walked around Ghandruk village and went to a temple situated 104 meter high from the ground level. We moved back to our hotel for campfire. We enjoyed the campfire singing songs, dancing and having lots of fun.  The most interesting part of this night is dual folk song competition between boys lead by Shree Naresh Thapa Magar and Girls lead by Kalpana SendhenThe very next morning was the best part of the entire tour. The early sun rise made Mt. Annapurna seem golden. We were so pleased and grateful to get a rare chance of such a marvelous view.
