Tourist Arrival Increases in Gandaki State
The number of tourists in one of the major tourist destinations of Nepal, Gandaki state has reached more than 24,000 within a month. According to the statistics released on Thursday, Around 24,477 tourists have visited Gandaki state in the month of October.
The state government and the tourism board have jointly started announcing the statistics to the public since last August. The statistics of foreign tourists collected at the Pokhara Airport Office in Kaski district Abukhaireni in Tanahun and the police post in Galyang of Syangja.
According to the statistics, in a month, 6 thousand 725 Indians have visited this state and others are from third countries. Within a month, only 1,650 Indians have reached Pokhara using the airport. Tourist arrivals increased by 33.33 percent in October compared to September. In September, 18,341 tourists came to Nepal. September-December is considered to be the busiest tourist season.
