Nepalayatimes/Summit Airplane Accident at Lukla: Three Died
Lukla – Summit Airplane taking-off for Kathmandu slipped on the tarmac and hit a Manang Air parked at the Lukla Airport Sunday morning.
Three persons have died in this Accident. Co-pilot of the Summit Airplane Sujit Dhungana and Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) of the Nepal Police deployed for security of the airport Ram Bahadur Khadka were killed on the spot while another ASI Rudra Bahadur Shrestha breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Kathmandu, according to the police.
Chief at the Tribhuvan International Airport Raj Kumar Chhetri said the injured persons have been flown on a chopper to Kathmandu for treatment. They are undergoing treatment at Grande International Hospital.
