1.WASH Officer
ROLE PURPOSE:

The WASH Officer is responsible for the overview of all the components of the water supply, sanitation, and hygiene; especially focusing on the construction of the water supply system at the field. She/He is responsible to ensure the quality of the system to meet the standard set by the project. Provide technical support to the team and monitor the schemes frequently confirming the functionality of the system.

2.Documentation and Reporting Officer, Sahayatra II
ROLE PURPOSE:

The Documentation and Reporting Officer will assist the partner and palika team for documentation of best practices. Case stories, success stories and reporting of the project intervention by best utilizing the available resources to attain project goal adhering to Save the Children’s global strategy. One of the major roles of the position holder is to update semi-annual status of child representatives and report to media com department in Kathmandu. Under the overall guidance of Project Manager- Sahayatra II, s/he will responsible to provide support for field level (field and District level) communication, documentation and reporting related matters, process with analysis of learning kept in place for further sharing.

The position will provide information, reporting and media related support to the Sahayatra project in coordination with the media and communication department in field office and Kathmandu. Based in the field office, the position’s role is to undertake field visits, gather and put together information of programs for internal and external purposes and program documentation. S/he also needs to ensure and analyze the rapid assessment information/ such as HMIS, CEMIS data (OPMIS for reporting purpose) to find out the gap of service status of in the project implemented at districts At times, s/he is support to develop capacity of partner’s staff in close coordination with the technical team at district/field office and project manager to implement this project through various approaches.

3.Human Resource (HR) Coordinator – Recruitment

S/He will also provide necessary support in other HR functions.

The position holder is responsible to support technical managers/coordinators to undertake policy advocacy related work on children rights issues (protection, education and health and nutrition) at state and local levels. S/He works closely with technical manager CRG and CP to build network and relationship with Karnali state government including parliamentarian to lobby and advocate for issue-based policy advocacy work. S/He makes regular field visit to strengthen and support the field team to identify advocacy issues/opportunities and documents the best practices related to advocacy and links them up with federal level advocacy for systematic policy changes with impact across the country

The position holder will be responsible to facilitate and support thematic managers/coordinators to establish and maintain relationships with state and local level government and influence and support on formulation/reformulation of legal /policy framework on children’s rights to protection, health, nutrition, education and overall child rights infrastructure in compliance with international human/child rights standards.

S/He will also work to strengthen linkages and collaboration with child rights /civil society organizations and networks to promote child rights in the country. S/He will work closely together with the thematic team to keep him/herself updated about latest development in CRG, Child Protection, Health & Nutrition and Education themes to ensure that MFWFO program advocacy on different theme and project is relevant and effective. S/he is also taking full responsibility in moving UN recommendations (for children) forward through partnership with the government and civil society and through undertaking relevant advocacy initiatives.

5.Logistics & Procurement Officer, Sahayatra II
ROLE PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to support in logistic and Procurement of FO specially on; developing vendor list, facilitate procurement process, support/facilitate on partner procurement process and capacity enhance of partner staff and procurement committee, support supply chain dept. support functions to run smoothly through field office operation. S/he will also responsible f to support on developing procurement plan to PNGOs, monitor and ensure that, procurement policy and procedure has followed properly, support implementing partners to strengthening logistics and procurement system. The role will include logistics support to district offices as well as of partners. S/he is also responsible for procurement related matter of the organization and facilitate the partners accordingly.

6.Project Coordinator – Education (NSSP)
ROLE PURPOSE:

The Project Coordinator (PC) – NSSP will be responsible for overall management of the NSSP project in the assigned district. S/He will also provide technical assistance to partner NGOs and GOs, ensuring the high quality of implementation by maximizing the impact as per the country strategy and annual plans in close coordination with NSET and local governments.

The position holder ensures implementation of all interventions in the district as well as provides technical support, coordinate with district authorities and Palika Chair/Mayor. S/He will ensure coordination with NSET pillar-1 and School Management Committee (SMC) and manages partners in the respective district.

The Project Manager, Sahayatra II will be responsible for providing strategic, technical and managerial leadership for integrated project and theme specific programs funded by Save the Children Norway (with an annual portfolio of over US$2.5million) and ensure multi-thematic integration of programs and multiple partnership (Government and PNGOs) under Karnali State. In close coordination with the Associate Director-Field program operations, Thematic staff and various departments (including Finance, Logistic and MEAL) in the field office.

The incumbent will ensure high quality and results oriented program plans and innovations including strong monitoring systems are developed and applied at all levels. The position requires ensuring compliance on project management at various stages of implementation as guided by the donor policy and as advised by Save the Children Norway counterpart. The Manager will be responsible to submit high quality program plan, progress reports as well as quality review reports and associated action plans to SC Norway and other stakeholders as required.

S/he will be the contact person with SC Norway in consultation with Award department at CO. S/he will also extend support and work closely with all stakeholders, backstopping support to SC staff and partners on monitoring and MEAL action response including evaluations and associated action plan. Partnership management for the SCN funded project is one of the key roles for this position.
