1. Position: Sr. Technical Advisor for Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI)
ROLE PURPOSE
The plan is seeking applicants for a Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion Lead for an anticipated USAID-funded Adolescent Reproductive Health/Family Planning activity in Nepal. The GESI Lead will report to the Deputy Chief of Party and is responsible for providing leadership to ensure that project activities address gender-specific activities surrounding adolescent RH/FP. This position is contingent upon award of the project by the donor.

2. Position: Education Specialist
ROLE PURPOSE
Plan International’s new strategy is designed to promote gender transformative and inclusive quality education for all children especially for girls, children with disabilities, and Dalit children. For this purpose, Plan will act at multiple levels to eliminate gender disparities in accessing quality education for all children through gender-sensitive educational contents, pedagogies, and learning environments with government-approved gender transformative policies, guidelines, and manuals. Moreover, Plan also engages in promoting model classrooms /schools with gender-transformative pedagogies and safe learning environments; advocate for model safe schools with a target of disability and social inclusion in education and reduce the barriers for children with disabilities (CWDs) for a welcoming learning environment. Similarly, Plan strengthens the ability of girls, CWDs, and Dalits to claim their rights to equal education opportunities and quality education. Education services will also improve early learning and reading comprehension of all young learners; assist completion of basic and transition to secondary education, and strengthen inclusive and gender-sensitive educational governance at school/village/municipality.

The Education Specialist will provide technical expertise and guidance to implement the overall education program and Karnali Education Project under the supervision of the Regional Manager (RM) and Head of Education. The Education Specialist is fully responsible for implementing the education projects’ activity towards the achievement of country strategy 2 and its 4 outcomes – education sector program. The Education Specialist will work closely with the Regional Office Team, and also the Project Team while planning and implementing the project activity towards the fields. S/he will ensure that the implementation of Project activities is realized according to the country strategy and education project objectives. S/he supports the RM in ensuring effective and timely implementation of all project activities, with special attention to providing overall coordination and facilitation at inter-agency, municipal, district, and provincial levels. Similarly, s/he ensures that the project deliverables are met in a timely and efficient manner. Particularly, s/he will technically lead the implementation of all project activities including planning, M&E, financial management, procurement, and knowledge management in close guidance of the Area Regional Manager and Field team.

S/he ensures the quality of program delivery and the achievement of agreed outcomes in accordance with program/project design. S/he is responsible to achieve a rights-based, gender-transformative, and inclusive program. S/He will also support on influence work approach in program implementation, ensuring efficient technical support to partner NGOs. S/he is accountable for supporting the innovation and ensuring lessons learned are constantly integrated in program interventions, thus continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness at the Field level. S/he leads the local level networking and advocacy in coordination with the Head of Education and Head of Influence. S/he will also work together with another sector coordinator such as Child Protection, Girls Agency, Resilient Girls and Boys, and the Program team of the Regional Office. S/He plays a vital role in identifying the training needs/gaps of our partner staff and recommends for the capacity development plan to the Regional Manager. The position holder is also responsible for active engagement in education projects design, proposal development and to ensure delivery of project outcomes against key project indicators based on baseline and end-line survey findings.

3. Position: Program Specialist – Thrive (Early Childhood Development)
ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to oversee and ensure a high-quality project implementation, in both development and humanitarian settings, and achieve targets towards Plan’s and/or donor’s requirements through overall management of the implementing partners within the Thrive program (Early Childhood Development) in the respective areas and districts, under the direct supervision of Regional Manager. The position will represent Plan in various forums in the respective sector/s including in government at municipal and district level and other stakeholders. The position will also work closely with the Technical Advisor – ECD of Country Office to enhance the capacity and skill of the partner NGO, local government, and other key stakeholders and also to ensure the quality of the project delivery at the field level.
