Pikey Peak Trek Highest Point of Hilly Region

Nepal is divided into three categories according to land features like Himalayan, Hilly region and Tarai region. So, The Himalayan region highest point is called Mt. Everest and hilly region highest point is called Pikey peak which is 4060m high from sea level. if the weather is clear, you will enjoy with all the greatest Himalayan and the wildlife as well as all the mountain region domestic animals like Yak, Nak, Jopkyo, and Jomu etc. This region is especially for Sherpa culture too.

A Highly experienced trained Guide Serku Sherpa is going to organize Pikey Peak 7 days Christmas treks which starts on 22 December 2018 and we will be on the top of Pikey on 25th of December 2018.

Cost: 500$ per person which includes transportation by jeep both way, accommodation, food( breakfast, lunch, dinner)soft drinks ( tea, coffee) guide and porter service etc. If anyone would like to do it then don’t hesitate to contact.


Outline Itinerary from Kathmandu

Day 1: Kathmandu to Dhap 3000m by jeep (approx 7hrs) we do Chengisthan viewpoint hiking in the evening for sunset which takes 20m from where we stay. If the weather is good then we enjoy with the natural scenario from there as well as the Himalayan range including Mt. Everest.

Day 2: Dhap to Jhapre 3200m (Approx 5hrs) the day way is gradually up and most of the time on the flat way. We walk throughout the small bamboo forest and rhododendron jungle as well as on the top of the hill. When we will be in Japre then we visit the Japre monastery and the village. its Small Sherpa town where there is monastery, stupa, praying mantra wall and small Sherpa compact settlement. We do visit it all.

Day 3: Jhapre to Pikey peak base camp 3500m (approx 5hrs)

We walk throughout the thick Himalayan pine forest, rhododendron forest and finally incense forest. We will see on the way Himalayan domestic animals like Yak, Nak, Jopyo etc. and birds etc.

Day 4: We go to Pikey peak early in the morning for sunrise if the weather is good. We do enjoy there and we may make Christmas picnic party on the top. Then we go to Jhasmane Bhanjyang.

Day 5: Jhasmane Bhanjyang to Junbhensi 2500m (Approx 5 hrs) It’s Sherpa people settlement area where there is a beautiful Sherpa village.

Day 6: Junbeshi to Phaplu or Sallery (Approximately 3 hours) we do hiking to visit Tibetan refugee camp and 635 years old Jya-sa monastery.

Day 7: Back to Kathmandu by jeep.
