Park Village Resort First Eco-friendly Resort of Nepal
Kathmandu – Sustainable development is a necessity for the conservation of our nature. Privet sector development project should alert towards sustainable development.
Park Village Resort has become the first hotel in the country to build a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Understanding the importance of conserving water and the environment, Park Village has constructed a green oasis at Budhanilkantha. It has created an environment where birds are lush vegetation inviting birds to nest and guests to relax. The goal of making the resort the first environment-friendly resort is being fulfilled through STP said one of the founders.
STP also includes the process of removing contaminants from polluted water. Physical, biological and gentle chemical processes have been used to remove these contaminants. This process results in the production of environmentally safe gray water and organic waste, which is appropriate when reused in the environment. The resort has installed this plant by SJ Environment Solutions of India.
Park Village has been using such safe water and organic waste to make their open green grounds, sloppy and humid. They also use such water in their Organic Vegetable Gardens, said the resort official. Now the resort is ready to use the clean water that comes after the processing too soon in the laundry.
Resort officials said ‘hotels of this size need more water to satisfy the needs of guests. We continue our eco-friendly policies, plans, and practices through the practice of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We have now started using environmentally friendly and safe ways to recycle wastewater from guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, and swimming pools.
