Number of Tourists Increases in Rara
Mugu – The number of tourists visiting Rara Lake in Mugu, an attractive tourist area of Nepal, is increasing. The tourists coming to see Rara has started increasing after the government permitted to resume all the services, which were closed due to the pandemic of the coronavirus.
Hoteliers and tourism entrepreneurs are happy with the flow of tourists. According to the locals of Mugu, the number of tourists visiting Rara Lake has increased with the launch of regular flights to Karnali from September 17. According to Baliraj Shahi, Manager of Danphe Guest House in Hutu, the number of domestic tourists has been increasing in Rara, which was deserted for six months.
He said, “Tourists from outside the district return from Rara after staying for one day. As the number of tourists started increasing, I called the hotel staff who were on leave. ” Tourism entrepreneur Shahi mentioned that tourism activities in Rara have started taking place. Likewise, Entrepreneur Dhan Bahadur Budha said that domestic tourists visiting Rara enjoy boating. According to him, some tourists have started touring the surrounding villages on a horse.
An official of Rara National Park, Bishnu Prasad Thapaliya, informed that high vigilance has been adopted, to prevent the spread of corona infection in the Rara area as the number of tourists has started increasing. He said, “Tourists are requested to adopt mandatory safety masks, sanitizers, and other health safety measures.” In one month, more than 2,000 domestic tourists have visited Rara.
