Kathmandu – A dedicated Electric line will be constructed at Gautam Buddha International Airport under construction at Bhairahawa. The matter was discussed in the Energy Ministry on Sunday in the presence of Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barshaman Pun, Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai.

In this discussion, the Electricity Authority has agreed to construct a dedicated transmission line at the airport, informed Tourism Ministry. In order to complete the project in time, it has been agreed to remove the poles on the road within 3 weeks from today and the Authority will provide a dedicated transmission line to the airport within a month.

It is agreed to construct a dedicated transmission line on the basis of coordination between the intergovernmental bodies as it is seen to provide electrical services for the construction of the airport. It was agreed to start the work on behalf of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Road Department and other departments immediately after the discussion on Sunday.

During the discussion, Minister Pun has also directed the subordinate staff and agencies to work as development-friendly. Minister for Tourism Bhattarai informed about the problems encountered during the construction of the airport and the actions to be taken for the electricity service.

Minister Bhattarai, who recently took responsibility of the ministry, has been emphasizing on the construction of Gautam Buddha International Airport, Pokhara International Airport.
