Kathmandu – As per the permission & authorization of Government of Nepal’s, Himalaya Airlines will operate a repatriation flights from August 26 to August 31 for received to bring back Nepalese who are stranded in different countries due to Covid-19 pandemic.

As per the information is given by Ujjwala Dali, Head of Department Brand and Service Improvement, the airlines will operate flights to Dammam, Saudi Arabia on August 26, and on 27th and 29th August, they will fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Similarly, on 30th August, the airlines will operate flights to Abu Dhabi, UAE and on 31st August, they will fly to Doha, Qatar.

The charter flight will be operated only if the aircraft has 85% occupancy. Otherwise, flight schedule may change or shall be cancelled depending upon the passenger bookings or other adverse factors. It is mandatory for all passengers to stay in quarantine upon arrival, as per the rules enforced by the Government of Nepal. Also, for countries where PCR test is available, all the passengers must do a PCR test and must hold a PCR Test Negative certificate issued within 72 hours of schedule flight time. All the PCR test negative certified passengers will be allowed to go home by authority with a written commitment to stay at home for at least 14 days after the registration and health check-up and will be monitored by local level authorities.

However, for the countries where the PCR test is not available, all passengers must have evidence document of confirmed hotel booking at Kathmandu, with mandatory stay in hotel quarantine for at least 7 days. The passengers are requested to fill out the online form on COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre website.
