NT: Nepal: Handicrafts worth Rs 4.80 billion have been sent out from the nation in the financial year 2016/17. Diverse crafted works made from bamboo, Dhaka, precious stone, cowhide, artworks, papers, silver decorations were traded to remote nations amid the period.
As per Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal, the most noteworthy measure of painstaking work was traded to the US. Crafted works worth Rs 1.56 billion were sent out to the US while handiworks worth Rs 674 million, Rs 437 million and Rs 350 million were traded to China, Germany and Japan separately.
Exchange of craftsmanship products was higher by Rs 40 million in the monetary year 2016/17 when contrasted with financial year 2015/16. Be that as it may, the exchange of handiwork merchandise had diminished in the monetary year 2015/16 because of the April 2015 tremor. Albeit 1,500 business visionaries are partnered to the Federation, just around 400 business people have been sending out handiworks, as per the Federation.
