China – The grand opening of the Nepal week at the Sichuan international travel expo on sept. 5, 2018, ushered in the handicraft fair of Nepal in the giant Buddha temple area of Leshan. His Excellency ambassador of Nepal to China represented Nepal at the event and expressed deep faith on the ongoing tourism promotional partnership between Nepal and China.
Around 50 handicraft companies are participating at Nepal Week for the promotion of Nepal’s art and craft to reach out to the market in China. These handicrafts are on display and sale, and items include woodwork, metalwork, Thanka, pottery, jewelry and more. Nepal’s cuisine will also be showcased and introduced to Chinese guests, while cultural performance and promotional videos will be put up at regular intervals for engaging and entertaining the visitors.
Simultaneously, the Expo will be held on the other side of the city at Emei, with the participation of 14 tour operators from Nepal and Nepal Tourism Board for travel fair and B2B sessions
