Government promoted 11 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG)

NT: Nepal: Government has promoted 11 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG) of Nepal Police to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).

The cabinet meeting on Thursday took the choice to uplift DIGs Bam Bahadur Bhandari, Jaya Bahadur Chand, Devendra Subedi, Pashupati Upadhyay, Keshari Raj Ghimire, Madhav Prasad Joshi, Bijay Lal Kayastha, Kamal Singh Bam, Mingmar Lama, Rana Bahadur Chand and Bijay Kumar Bhatta.

Chand was elevated to IGP by the Pushpa Kamal Dahal drove government however his arrangement was revoked by the Supreme Court. Bureau on Thursday elevated Chand to AIG however left out DIG Nawaraj Silwal in the advancement list. Silwal had tested the arrangement of Chand at the court and has been as yet battling fight in court over the arrangement of Prakash Aryal as IGP.
