Despite Adverse Weather Condition Tourist Arrival Increases in Ghorepani
Although the number of domestic and foreign tourist have increased the infamous tourist destination of Round Annapurna, Ghorepani, the tourists have not been able to enjoy the sightseeing due to adverse weather.
For the past five days, the tourists visiting the place are not able to enjoy the scenario so that they are compelled to return unsatisfied. Sarbajit Gurung, Chief of the Area Police Office, Ghorepani, said that the tourist arrivals from different points are increasing at Ghorepani in Annapurna VDC-6 despite the adverse weather conditions and the hotels are full of tourist arrival.
Most of the tourists visit the place from China, Belgium, Italy, German, Israel, France, the US, Korea, UK, and India. Tourist guide Santaman Gurung, who arrived at Ghodipani with nine Chinese tourists, said that the tourists were not able to get a view of the surroundings due to adverse weather conditions. “Around 350 tourists arrive at Ghorepani on daily basis”.
Located at a height of 210 m meters above sea level, the Ghodepani attracts tourists by presenting panoramic views, culture and habitat of the animals of different species, vegetation as well as sunrise, and local arts, said Purna Bahadur Pun, a local hotel entrepreneur.
“Other tourists have not been able to travel due to weather conditions,” he said. He also mentioned that most of the houses belonging to the Magar community are located in Ghorepani.
